We’re looking for a Merchant Account Supervisor to join our dynamic Merchant Success team. You'll be responsible for managing the roll-out of corporate merchant products and supervising corporate merchant activities to ensure effective deployment, branding, training, compliance, data, and transaction rates across a specific merchant portfolio, within our merchant network.

In this role, you'll;

Corporate Merchant Deployment and Account Management

  • Support the deployment and management of corporate merchants across Côte d’Ivoire.
  • Coordinate merchant onboarding, product training, branding, and technical account setup.
  • Ensure merchants understand our products and how to use our product, operational processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor merchant activation, performance, and ongoing engagement throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure merchants are fully operational and supported.

Partner Portfolio Management

  • Manage and develop the portfolio of partners (All product and specially API) by monitoring transaction volumes, alert on pick in volumes, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Define and execute growth strategies in collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize regular business and performance review meetings (every cycle/bi-cycle) with partners.
  • Identify risks, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve partner engagement and transaction growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partner stakeholders.

API/Aggregator Management

  • Manage relationships and operational follow-up with aggregators.
  • Monitor the creation and activation of aggregated merchants.
  • Monitor the database with aggregator network KYB documents and activities prez;
  • Ensure the timely follow-up and resolution of Monday tickets related to aggregated merchant creation.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal teams to address onboarding, technical, or operational issues affecting aggregated merchants.
  • Collect and report market information (improvement, competition, opportunities, customer/corporate feedback, etc) .

Volume Monitoring and Performance Management

  • Monitor transaction volumes and key performance indicators across the partner portfolio.
  • Identify significant volume increases, decreases, or unusual transaction patterns and raise relevant alerts.
  • Contact and visit merchants regularly, especially when their volume of activity drops.
  • Conduct initial investigations into unexpected volume variations through partner outreach, internal data review, online research, and other relevant sources.
  • Provide timely insights and recommendations to support business growth and risk mitigation
  • Report detected bugs to engineers and be the support for relay with partners.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on the implementation of promotions, events, communication and BTL activities for merchants, etc.

Compliance

  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and monitor partner activities for potential risks or suspicious patterns.
  • Identify and document potential compliance concerns.
  • Raise relevant issue cases and escalate suspicious activities to the Internal Control team in line with established procedures.
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of corrective actions when required.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure smooth operations, compliance with API policy and restrictions, and gather feedback from users and clients about their needs and suggestions.

Key details

  • Location: You'll work from our office in Abidjan.
  • You must have work authorization in Côte d’Ivoire.
  • This is a permanent assignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Law, Management, Sales or a similar field.
  • 5+ years experience in a similar position.
  • Fluent in French and in English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience conducting field-related merchant activities, including acquiring and onboarding merchants and ensuring they meet Wave criteria.
  • Experience supporting customers & corporate.
