As the Technical Content Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating compelling, viral technical content that gets prospects and customers excited about our products. This includes both written content such as thought leadership pieces and newsletters as well as video content such as product explainer videos or video interviews with individuals who are very technically familiar with our products such as internal product managers or external partners or end users. Because one of our primary buyer personas is the IT professional, we are looking for someone technically-minded who can speak convincingly to this audience and build a strong following across digital channels.


    • Deeply understand the IT and security professional audiences and ideate on technical-first content targeted at these personas across both written (longform thought leadership, infographics, whitepapers, etc) as well as video media
    • Partner with Creative team to develop a video series showcasing more in-depth features of our various products via explainer videos
    • Source participants such as internal experts, external partners, and passionate end users to contribute to content; serve as a technically-minded moderator in video or audio content
    • Potentially launch a newsletter targeted at IT professionals with original content as well as aggregated content that would be of interest to this audience
    • Test other channels (e.g., podcast series) that could resonate with this audience and develop associated content calendar
    • Demonstrate advanced editorial craftsmanship, storytelling, and copywriting skills in all content including both written content and video scripts
    • Ensure adherence to Verkada brand guidelines, tone of voice and style consistency


    • Preferred technical background, former IT professional is a strong plus
    • 4+ years of proven content marketing experience, with experience across a variety of content types including longform content (e.g., thought leadership pieces), short form content (e.g., infographics) and video script writing
    • Proven ability to communicate technical information and concepts in an engaging manner to a technical audience
    • Experience creating short (<10 min) video explainer content describing functionality of technical products, either hardware or software
    • Strong writer, with excellent storytelling, copyediting, communication and project management skills
    • Experience independently developing and owning a content calendar across multiple channels and content types (newsletters, video channel, podcast, etc)
    • Strong work ethic, team-player mentality, and comfort and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
    • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university, liberal arts college, or film school

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
