Overview
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, Industry Solutions & Enterprise you will bring to life Verkada’s story and product value proposition for our largest customers in the various industry verticals we work with today. These include healthcare organizations, educational institutions, manufacturing facilities, retail businesses, governments, and many more. While all of these industries have a need for a physical security solution, each one uses our integrated set of products in a unique way. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of each industry’s pain points when it comes to physical security, create compelling positioning that speaks to key use cases, and partner closely with the Demand Generation and Sales teams to develop a go-to-market strategy for each vertical. In addition, we are looking for this individual to provide strategic marketing support to our largest (Enterprise) customers across all verticals.
This is a highly cross functional, senior individual contributor role that will require you to speak regularly with Enterprise customers, work closely with Product, Sales, and Demand Generation as well as develop a deep understanding of our entire portfolio of products. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Marketing, you will play a vital role in telling our platform story and growing our business across industries and with our largest accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and competitively differentiated messaging for each of our industry verticals based on customer interviews, conversations with Product and Sales team members, and third-party research
  • Partner with the Demand Generation and Sales teams to set and execute on a go-to-market strategy within each industry vertical
  • Work closely with Demand Generation and Creative teams to increase market presence in each vertical and drive pipeline through industry-specific assets (videos, webinars, thought leadership, etc)
  • Provide hands-on marketing support to our Enterprise Demand Generation and Sales teams in the form of account-based marketing content and sales materials
  • Collaborate with PMMs responsible for individual products in order to ensure newly launched features or products are messaged in a compelling way to our largest customers
  • Become a cross-product industry expert, evangelist and cross-functional leader who unites Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to drive business results

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing (or similar) experience, or prior management consulting experience
  • Deep curiosity about and drive to understand customers and their specific pain points and needs with respect to technology
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources including customer interviews, conversations with Product team members, sales calls, etc, and then hone in on the top insights
  • Strong ability to write clearly and concisely for various audiences, including the ability to write technical content
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, Creative, and Marketing
  • Ability to help drive creative and content efforts across the marketing organization
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to strategic and executive teams.
  • Bachelor’s required, MBA is a plus, but not required
Employee Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. For this role, Verkada estimates a starting annual base salary will fall in the range of approximately $130,000 - 200,000. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. Annual base salary is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
