Role Overview
At Verkada, we're known to push traditional boundaries and our B2B marketing efforts are no exception. As the VP of Channel Marketing, you'll be tasked with leading a highly selective team of marketers with unconventional backgrounds (wall street traders, engineers, consultants, scientists and growth marketers) whose goal it is to accelerate and support our channel efforts through marketing activities that ensure that over half of Verkada’s revenue is sourced by our partners.
Channel marketing at Verkada is currently composed of at least two main initiatives:
1. To execute marketing campaigns that help drive Verkada’s partner-sourced revenue. This is accomplished by driving new resellers and integrators to partner with Verkada , accelerating onboarding of current partners and nurturing partnerships with strategic engagements. We are consistently testing new ideas that often fall outside the methods normally used by traditional B2B and/or channel marketers.
2. Help partners become an extension of Verkada’s marketing team by empowering them with a robust partner portal full of necessary training, collateral, “campaigns-in-a-box”, event collateral and so on.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Verkada’s Head of Marketing as well as cross departmentally with the Growth, Channel, Sales and Creative teams to brainstorm and execute new out-of-the-box experiments to deliver, target, and run marketing campaigns that drive direct revenue impact.
  • Maintain and improve the partner portal and all the collateral they need (executed with attention to detail) to best sell Verkada to their own customers and enable them to run their own campaigns including strong event presence.
  • Improve the overall brand of Verkada within the heterogeneous partner ecosystem of resellers and integrators.
  • Hire and onboard a team of the best channel marketers regardless of their background.
  • Unlock complicated blockers that prevent many marketers from achieving scale or efficiency

Requirements:

  • 4-year undergraduate bachelors degree
  • 10+ years of work experience minimum.
  • Impeccable quantitative ability and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work cross-departmentally to prioritize multiple initiatives with various stakeholders.
  • A hacker’s type mentality full of curiosity and creativity (obsessed with solving puzzles and never gives up).
  • Inbox 0 type personality + roll up your sleeves type mentality.
  • Business level fluency in English in both oral and written communication.
  • Channel, partner or demand gen marketing experience is required.
  • Event marketing experience or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Employee Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. For this role, Verkada estimates a starting annual base salary will fall in the range of approximately $200,000 - $350,000. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. Annual base salary is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
