The Manager of Global Sourcing is responsible for leading and managing a team of sourcer and Supply Chain partners. Verkada's sourcing team is instrumental in driving supplier selection, managing key vendor relationships, negotiating material costs and strategic deals. This role requires close collaboration with various members of the Engineering and Supply Chain Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Global Supply Managers in the USA and Taiwan
  • Own End to End sourcing for Verkada Engineering and Operations teams
  • Develop and execute sourcing roadmap and strategy
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, etc for various aspects of operations
  • Develop consolidated reporting metrics
  • Understand and communicate cost impacts of manufacturing operations
  • Own COGS roll-up & margin analysis for New Product Introduction

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain and sourcing with experience working with Asian supply chains
  • 1+ years of management experience of a team 3 or greater
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate cross functionally with engineering, finance, quality, and third-party vendors
  • Experience in a wide range of commodity management ranging from Electronics, Biz Ops (FATP), Mechanicals and Service Providers
  • Experience with contracts and contract management and wide range of negotiation and analytical skills
  • Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical or Industrial engineering (or equivalent), MBA a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
