Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.
At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.
Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.
At Teya, we're building the operating system small businesses actually want to run their day on — payments, banking, and AI-powered tools that quietly do the boring work in the background. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager in Porto to own a core area of the app and ship features that turn a card reader into a genuine business companion.
Your mission
Own the roadmap and delivery for a critical area of the Teya merchant app, keeping every bet tied to our long-term strategy of becoming the financial backbone for European SMBs
Ship AI-native experiences that do real work for merchants
Lead app launches end-to-end: from zero-to-one feature design through activation curves, retention loops, and the boring plumbing that makes them stick
Turn insight into sharp specs, fast prototypes, and a prioritised backlog — working shoulder-to-shoulder with Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Ops
Balance the quick wins that unlock near-term engagement with the long bets that compound: product adoption, cross-product activation, platform stickiness
Define success upfront (north-star, guardrails, KPI trees) and close the loop post-launch with validation data and the next iteration
Partner with our banking, payments, and lending teams to weave our products into merchant workflows, not ship disconnected features
Champion the merchant's voice across the company — with a bias toward simplicity, speed, and trust
Your story
5+ years in product management, ideally with real fintech, banking, or SMB SaaS experience — bonus points if you've shipped consumer-grade mobile experiences at scale
You've taken AI features to production
Strong commercial instinct: you understand unit economics, the cost of capital in a fintech, and why a roadmap isn't just a wishlist
BA/BS in a technical or analytical field; comfortable reading SQL, reasoning about statistical significance, and pushing back on a weak experiment design
Data-driven: you formulate hypotheses, run A/B tests that actually answer the question, and decide on evidence — not vibes
You see the endgame but obsess over the detail — the empty state, the onboarding copy, the 1% conversion lift
Builder's mindset: you thrive on zero-to-one, then stick around to scale, polish, and fix the unglamorous stuff
Comfortable with ambiguity — you write the brief before anyone asks for one
Clear, empathetic communicator who can align a staff engineer and a Head of Sales in the same meeting
Customer-obsessed: you spend time with real merchants, not just in prototyping
Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.
If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process whether for interviews, assessments, or other parts of the application—we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to ensuring that every candidate has a fair and accessible experience with us.
