Job Description
You will be leading the Group consolidation team, managing a team based in Portugal.
You will work closely with the Accounting, FP&A, Tax and Technical accounting teams in different geographies.
You will be responsible for producing the Group monthly consolidated statements and implementing the necessary processes and controls to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
You will also lead the implementation of a new consolidation tool and have a key role in the evolution of our close process. Additionally, this role will be involved in any M&A and restructuring transactions that we complete.
The Group Consolidation Manager will make a significant contribution to the Finance team, providing the consolidated financial information required to understand the business and allow management to make decisions.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing the Group consolidation team;
- Delivering the monthly consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, in accordance with IFRS;
- Producing the monthly managerial balance sheet and cash flow together with variance analysis;
- Implementing a new consolidation tool;
- Reviewing the existing consolidation process, with the goal of streamline it, as well as implementing new controls and process improvements to produce accurate and timely financial information;
- Partnering with the FP&A team to deliver the information required by the Executive Team;
- Leading the preparation of the Group audited accounts, working closely with the Accounting teams and external auditors;
- Involvement in M&A deals and Group reorganisations;
- Involvement in projects to further simplify the Group external reporting process;
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, delivering decision making reports.
Qualifications
· You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields;
· You have +8 years of experience in consolidation and/or group audits in a multi-national environment, preferably acquired in a Big4 firm;
· You are fluent in English (you will be working directly with several teams in London);
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to work effectively both independently with appropriate support and as part of a delivery team;
· Experience with consolidation tools (Hyperion, SAP, OneStream, etc);
· Detail-oriented individual who is hard-working, self-motivated, trustworthy and takes ownership of projects;
· Curious mindset and analytical thinking;
· You embrace challenge and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation;
· Experience with transformation projects, process improvements or systems implementation is a plus;
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and partner well with people at all levels; strong team collaborator
· Strong communication skills as well as team management skills;
· Experience of working across a global organisation;
