Job Description

To build world class ecommerce solutions for small and medium businesses in Europe. Using full stack development skills you will join and help build a diverse and inventive team of developers launching the next generation of e-commerce payment solutions from developer-friendly APIs to highly scalable and flexible generic checkout experiences to custom plugins for popular ecommerce platforms.

You will obsess over the merchant experience and the payments experience of their customers to deliver applications and services with the highest standards of reliability, scale, and simplicity in the industry. We work together to continuously deliver high quality results and learn from observing our systems and how customers use our products.

We are looking for a front-end developer who demonstrates a high level of curiosity and keeps up with the latest technologies. You have developed and maintained multiple mobile-ready front-end applications throughout the entirety of their lifecycle. You have a strong eye for software design and you would like to tackle tough technical challenges and have a desire to impact local businesses and communities.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Ecommerce team you will:

• Join in the early stage design of a suite of ecommerce payments products targeted for small and medium businesses in Europe.

• Build high quality solutions using technologies such as modern Javascript, TypeScript, Flutter, React, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Work with dedicated Product Managers and User Experience Designers to deliver innovative products and services.

• Help build a culture of quality and delivery.

• Work with best in class tools for observability, monitoring, and analysis.

• Mentor junior team members and help in their career growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript, relevant frameworks, and other web technologies

• Ability to solve problems in code using data structures and algorithms and be able to analyze the time and space complexity of those solutions.

• Professional experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of multiple new and existing systems.

• Professional experience growing peer engineers through mentorship and guidance.

• Proven ability to document and communicate technical decisions to a diverse audience.

• Able to work autonomously with product and engineering peers to understand and plan work to be done and lead execution.
