Job Description

You will work with a diverse team to help shape the future of our new customers' onboarding processes. You will be part of the whole feature development lifecycle, with direct access to a wealth of customer feedback.

You will use technology such as React to write maintainable, performant, and high-quality code. We focus on continuous deployment and iterative delivery, to ensure that our code runs reliably on the Teya infrastructure, allowing you to focus on delivering value to our new merchants in a fluid manner.

We are looking for a front-end developer who demonstrates a high level of curiosity and keeps up with the latest technologies. You have developed and maintained multiple front-end applications throughout the entirety of their lifecycle. You have a strong eye for software design and you would like to tackle tough technical challenges and have a desire to impact local businesses and communities.

On a regular day you will:

  • Architect and develop robust web applications

  • Take ownership of tasks from start to completion

  • Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers

  • Fix bugs, improve workflows, and suggest changes to make the team more productive

  • Break down tasks into small tickets and actively engage with the agile process

  • Strong attention to detail placing the end user at the forefront of all decisions

Qualifications

  • Strong experience working with JavaScript, relevant frameworks, and other web technologies

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science

  • Minimum of 2 years of React development

  • Ability to write well-structured code with a high test coverage

  • Must be personable, enthusiastic, and articulate ideas clearly

  • Must be organised, focused, and thorough

  • Experience with UX is beneficial

  • Must show a passion for web technology
