Job Description

The Accounts Payable Tech Expert plays a crucial role in leveraging technology to optimize accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and expertise in utilizing technology tools to streamline workflows.

Job Description:

1. Systems Implementation:
· Lead the implementation and integration of software and technology solutions for accounts payable functions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and customize solutions to meet the needs of the organization.

· Configure settings, workflows, and approval processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

2. Process Automation:
· Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization within the accounts payable function.

· Design and develop automation scripts, workflows, and macros to streamline invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliation tasks.

3. Data Analytics and Reporting:
· Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze accounts payable data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

· Generate and customize reports to provide insights into key performance metrics, such as invoice cycle time, payment accuracy, and vendor performance.

· Present findings and recommendations to management for informed decision-making and process optimization.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with process automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to adapt to evolving technology trends and continuously enhance technical skills.
