Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the role
Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic payments markets in the world. Across Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and beyond, hundreds of millions of people are coming online as economic participants for the first time and the infrastructure they use to transact is being built right now.
We're looking for a Product Manager to own Stripe's product strategy and execution for Southeast Asia. You'll work directly with engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams across Stripe to localize our core products and build net-new capabilities for the region.
The right person for this role has deep roots in SEA — you understand how payments actually work across these markets, you know the regulatory landscape, and you have genuine intuition for how businesses and consumers here behave differently from anywhere else in the world. You move fast, operate with a high degree of autonomy, and have a track record of shipping things in ambiguous environments.
What you'll do
- Own the SEA product roadmap: identify the highest-leverage opportunities across payments, platform, and developer experience for the region, and build the case for investment
- Partner with engineering to ship — you'll drive specs, prioritization, and execution with a high degree of hands-on involvement
- Be the regional expert inside Stripe: synthesize user research, market data, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics into clear product direction
- Work directly with merchants, developers, and partners across SEA to understand their needs at the ground level — not just through data, but through relationships
- Navigate the regulatory and infrastructure constraints that are unique to each SEA market and translate them into product requirements
- Collaborate with Stripe's global product teams to ensure SEA needs are reflected in platform decisions, and advocate for regional investment at the right moments
Who you are
- You have 7+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on products that shipped in Southeast Asia
- You have a genuine understanding of SEA payments infrastructure — local rails, digital wallets, real-time payment schemes, regulatory environments — and can go deep without preparation
- You operate like a founder: you set your own agenda, move fast under uncertainty, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not activity
- You're technically comfortable — you can engage credibly with engineers on API design, integration complexity, and system tradeoffs
- You're a clear, direct communicator who can write well and influence without authority across a matrixed organization
- You're based in Southeast Asia or have a strong reason to be
Why Stripe
Stripe is still early in its presence across Southeast Asia, which means the person in this role will have genuine influence over how we show up in one of the world's most important emerging markets. You'll have the scope of a startup with the resources of a company that processes hundreds of billions of dollars a year.
