About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. About the team

Product Capital Markets Team

Stripe’s Product Capital Markets team within Capital Markets is responsible for building and executing the funding strategy for our Capital loans and other financial products. We partner closely with Stripe's engineering, data science, risk, product, and servicing teams to develop creative solutions to optimize our funding channels. We liaise with cross-functional partners across accounting, finance and strategy and tax to execute on our roadmap.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a creative, smart, and driven individual to execute on our funding strategy. Candidates should have broad experience with financing transactions, acquired either working at a bank or a fintech, as well as experience managing investor relationships and working with alternative lenders. The candidate should be curious and open to learning other capital markets areas, such as risk management, investments or corporate financing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

If you are interested in joining a fast-growing organization and applying your experience to shape the future of Stripe, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, providing financing for merchant loans and other capital products. Manage ongoing investor communications and information requests
  • Coordinate with investors, lending partners and financing counterparties throughout the onboarding phase, and drive due diligence and internal review processes
  • Develop and update marketing materials for use with prospective investors
  • Build and monitor dashboards and reports to track sales, performance statistics and adherence to contractual requirements
  • Review and assist in the development of transaction documents in collaboration with legal teams
  • Coordinate across Product, Finance & Strategy, and Credit/Risk teams to drive Capital Markets initiatives
  • Support as needed other Capital Markets projects and initiatives

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years of exposure to debt capital markets at an ABS issuer (including online lending platforms), an investment bank (FIG/Fintech advisory or ABS banking/trading role), alternative lender, hedge fund, asset manager, rating agency, or law firm structuring and executing ABS financing transactions, including warehouse facilities, loan sales / forward flow, and/or securitizations
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced and often ambiguous work environment
  • Clear communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical skill; ability to leverage data insights into a dynamic narrative
  • Project management capability and high attention to detail
  • Experience with SQL or Python or additional background managing liquidity investments is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $136,000 - $204,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
