Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As part of the Programs team within Professional Services at Stripe, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build high quality technical enablement programs for the Professional Services team. The programs team develops and runs initiatives and projects which mature and grow the Professional Services business at Stripe.

Stripe’s Professional Services team works with our most strategic users; our team helps Stripe increase the GDP of the internet by supporting the success of our large users’ implementation projects. This involves guiding users through their integration process, project planning, coordinating with stakeholders, handling deliverables, meeting key timelines, and educating our users about the maximum potential they can achieve with Stripe.

What you’ll do

As a Program Manager for technical enablement, you’ll design and operate initiatives to develop the knowledge and skills of the Professional Service team in three key areas: Stripe products, delivery methodology, and service offerings.

  • Develop both the long-term vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations for ProServ enablement at Stripe
  • Become an expert on Stripe’s products and services so that you can confidently build new training programs and content.
  • Work with internal product and engineering teams to create a streamlined process for communicating product updates to the ProServ team
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs, processes, and workflows for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement
  • Create and publish ProServ enablement calendar
  • Work cross functionally with other Stripe teams focused on customer and partner services (such as Sales Enablement and Training & Certification orgs), ensuring alignment and identifying areas for collaboration
  • Build “Train the Trainer” professional development programs to teach Stripe’s technical field teams how to deliver training.
  • Design and develop aesthetically superb courseware and documentation adhering to the highest standards of branding and quality.
  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions while applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create content that fits the needs of the learner across online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to prioritize work based on competing stakeholder needs
  • Be a key advocate and support for change management and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in technical enablement program design / development.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • A proven history of developing deep subject matter expertise on new products and technical concepts including APIs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. This includes skill in collaborating with subject matter experts to help write, design, develop and manage technical content projects.
  • Experience leading global projects that include various departments, tracking timelines and managing stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • You can share training samples or public speaking experience
  • Experience designing operating technical enablement and developing content for technical certifications
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to incorporate them into the curriculum
  • Professional experience using e-learning software and/or LMS
  • Experience working with payment industry and/or consulting

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $122,200 - $183,200. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
