This position will physically report to the Resident manufacturing plant in Jeffersonville, IN.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Resident Home is looking to hire a skilled process engineer to optimize existing processes, design new processes, produce and maintain process documents, and work with cross functional teams to reduce costs and maintain or improve the quality of our product in a manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design new processes for new machinery and or product changes
- Assess and optimize existing processes by designing, implementing and testing new data collection and analysis systems.
- Utilize system engineering approach to drive significant output and productivity gains
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure the manufacturing processes are producing products that meet quality standards.
- Identify process issues that would cause production or quality standards to not be met.
- Interpret and document data and prepare reports as required.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Identify cost reduction opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent formal training in area of involvement (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer preferred).
- Proven work experience as a systems process engineer in automated and manual assembly operations (5 to 10 years experience)
- Possess good oral, written, and listening communication skills.
- Able to perform duties with minimal supervision at onset of new project assignments and virtually no supervision thereafter.
- Able to proficiently use the tools or materials required to perform typical assigned duties in areas of hardware, software, and manufacturing.
- Experience with manufacturing process layout.
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma Experience
- CAD or similar software experience
- Strong Data Analysis experience.
- Document control experience
