Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Associate, ERM to join our Enterprise Risk Management team.

About the role

The Associate, ERM supports in building and strengthening Oscars Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. The role partners with partners across the organization to identify, assess, manage, and monitor risks to support the business and our strategic and financial goals.

You will report to the Associate Director, ERM.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $98,400 - $129,150 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.


  • Manage and maintain Oscar’s centralized inventory of risk issues (E.g., Operational Risk Events, SOX Deficiencies, Internal Audit Findings)

  • Project manage the cross-functional end-to-end remediation of Operational Risk Events through root cause analysis, impact assessment, and remediation planning

  • Produce and coordinate risk reporting for management, Risk Committee, and the Board

  • Develop an understanding of Oscar’s core processes to help stakeholders develop controls, process enhancements, and risk metrics and monitoring

  • Partner with functional leaders across the company to coordinate the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA)review, update, and regulatory submission

  • Coordinate responses to regulatory requests related to Enterprise Risk Management

  • Manage the Oscar’s Insurance Liability policies and provide support to key stakeholders by responding to enquiries regarding Oscar’s coverage, facilitating discussions between Oscar teams and our brokers, and ensuring policy owners are aware of renewal timelines.

  • Manage and maintain the ERM teams policies, procedures, and training materials

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of commensurate experience

  • 3+ years work experience in risk management, internal audit or consulting

  • 3+ years of experience in managing cross-functional projects

Bonus points

  • Experience working in risk management or a controls function within the Healthcare industry

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
