Job Summary:

The Senior Demand Generation Manager leads OpenGov’s Marketing team within our Pune hub, serving as the primary site leader responsible for performance, operational execution, and cross-functional coordination. The role owns strategy and execution for lifecycle, cross-sell, and upsell programs and is accountable for delivering expansion pipeline through multi-channel marketing. This leader works closely with Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, and U.S.-based teams while maintaining hands-on ownership of campaign development and optimization to drive customer adoption and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Pune Marketing Team

  • Oversee day-to-day planning, execution, and performance for the Pune-based marketing team.

  • Establish processes and operating rhythms that support consistent and timely program delivery.

  • Align with U.S.-based leaders on priorities, insights, and pipeline goals.

  • Support team development through coaching and clear expectations.

Drive Lifecycle, Cross-Sell, and Upsell Growth

  • Build and manage lifecycle programs that increase adoption, retention, cross-sell, and upsell.

  • Develop segmented nurture journeys and expansion plays informed by customer behavior and product insights

  • Track funnel and pipeline metrics and refine programs based on performance.

  • Act as a lifecycle marketing resource for cross-functional partners.

Execute Integrated Multi-Channel Campaigns

  • Design and run campaigns across email, paid media, webinars, in-app, social, and syndication channels.

  • Create and manage campaign assets such as emails, landing pages, guides, and webinar materials.

  • Support ABM and customer marketing with targeted programs for priority segments.

  • Use AI tools to improve content development, personalization, and testing.

Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations for coordinated planning and execution.

  • Translate product updates and customer insights into lifecycle and expansion campaigns.

  • Contribute to cross-functional strategy by identifying opportunities and sharing insights.

  • Represent the Pune marketing team in global discussions to ensure alignment.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • 8–10 years of B2B or SaaS marketing experience in lifecycle, demand generation, or customer growth programs.

  • 3–5 years leading marketers and managing cross-functional work.

  • Experience delivering programs across multiple products or product lines.

  • Proven ability to run multi-channel lifecycle and expansion programs that generate pipeline.

  • Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce); experience with ABM and AI tools is a plus.

  • Ability to analyze data, segment audiences, test programs, and adjust based on insights.

  • Strong written communication skills and experience developing or reviewing campaign content.

  • Effective project management skills and experience working across teams and time zones.

  • Experience with public sector or government marketing is helpful but not required.
