As Chief of Staff to the CEO at OpenGov, you’ll work on both high-level strategy and day-to-day operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity of the CEO and across the company. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in learning how great companies grow and scale, and how multiple functions across an organization work together to make that happen. But it is action-oriented and the person will learn by doing!
OpenGov is on a mission to power more effective and accountable government and just executed a majority transaction with Cox enterprises for $1.8B in the third largest private software deal of the last three years. This person will serve as a "right-hand" to Zac and the executive team, helping to drive the company to hundreds of millions in revenue. Duties will include goal-setting and prioritization, in-depth product strategy, organizational development and performance management, recruiting, offsites and teambuilding, events, management, and communications. There is also the opportunity to help Zac on personal affairs so that he can stay maximally focused on OpenGov.
The right candidate is obsessed with business, including investing and capital allocation as well as leadership and management. She or he may have worked in a growth company, in PE or VC, or consulting, and possesses gravitas mixed with initiative and hustle. She or he thinks and writes clearly and has impeccable integrity. The right candidate probably wants to become an executive, start a company, or start a fund afterward. With a two year commitment, Zac would support them in full.
