We are looking for a Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in helping business stakeholders identify and solve business problems, improve processes, and make informed decisions. The role requires strong analytical and SQL skills with the ability to combine data from disparate systems to build out scalable solutions. They will be a part of a centralized group that supports the entire organization . This role places an emphasis on building for scale, process automation, insight generation, data visualization, data management, and planning.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Data Analyst with the ability to interface with business stakeholders, strong requirements gathering, SQL expertise, data analysis and visualization experience. This person must demonstrate experience building and maintaining enterprise level reporting and code. This person is a doer that views problems as opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and data professionals, to understand and document business needs, objectives, and data requirements.
•Create clear and comprehensive documentation of business requirements, data models, processes, and solutions in both current and future state.
•Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases.
•Conduct in-depth data analysis using relevant tools to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform business decisions.
•Create and maintain interactive and informative reports, dashboards, and visualizations using data visualization tools (i.e. Looker, ThoughtSpot, Tableau).
•Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
•Develop test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
•Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
•Provide training and support to team members on data tools and interpretation.
•Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the role of a Data Analyst.
Must Have:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
•Progressive experience (3+ years) working as a Data Analyst or similar role.
•Progressive experience (3+ years) working in modern BI tools (i.e. Looker, ThoughtSpot, Tableau).
•Progressive experience (3+ years) in writing complex SQL.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
•Ability to think strategically and build for scalability.
•Self-motivated, passionate and driven.
•Superb verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
•4-6 years of related experience, preferable in a SaaS environment.
•Experience in Revops, R&D, Finance, or Go To Market teams.
•Experience working with data from SalesForce, Segment, NetSuite, Workday and other common business tools.
•Data analysis proficiency in Python.
