About the Team

The GTM (Go-To-Market) Innovation team is an internal powerhouse revolutionizing how we engage customers through groundbreaking applications of our technology. As an incubator, we amplify the impact of Sales, Technical Success, Enablement, and Revenue Operations by deploying our technology at scale. This team applies advanced capabilities to real-world interactions — reshaping conversations with customers, learning from every exchange, and finding novel ways to show the value of our technology.

About the Role
We’re hiring a GTM Innovation Architect to partner deeply with our internal go-to-market stakeholders and strategic platform customers to accelerate how we build, deploy, and scale AI-powered applications. You’ll combine the rapid prototyping and full-stack engineering of a product-minded software engineer with the customer orientation and high-context guidance of a solutions architect.

You’ll lead the ideation and delivery of bespoke tools and systems using OpenAI’s models, guide customer teams through technical design and implementation, and feed insights back into our product and research roadmap. This is a rare opportunity to shape 0→1 solutions that directly impact the way OpenAI’s technology is experienced in the world.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner directly with GTM teams to understand technical and business needs, ideate on solutions, and lead implementation end-to-end

  • Build high-impact, LLM-powered tools and applications that improve customer outcomes and internal workflows

  • Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy production-grade systems, often in ambiguous and fast-moving environments

  • Serve as a technical thought partner, providing architectural guidance and domain-specific best practices to internal teams and external customers

  • Synthesize insights from field work into feedback for our Product, Applied and Research teams to influence product development and roadmap direction

  • Contribute to internal and external technical resources such as documentation, notebooks, and design patterns to scale knowledge and capabilities across teams

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, technical consulting, or solutions architecture, ideally with full-stack ownership in startup-like environments

  • Are fluent in Python and JavaScript, and have experience building full-stack applications from the ground up

  • Have hands-on experience prototyping and deploying LLM-powered systems (e.g. OpenAI API, LangChain, vector databases)

  • Have a strong product mindset and enjoy shaping technical solutions with business impact in mind

  • Excel in working closely with users—internal or external—and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

  • Have a bias toward action and are comfortable owning problems end-to-end, from discovery through deployment

  • Are a strong communicator who can influence stakeholders and distill technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Take pride in crafting elegant, durable solutions, but are not afraid to hack together quick prototypes when needed
