About the Role:

We are seeking a Global Controller who will serve as a key executive leader, overseeing the integrity of the company's financial statements, maintaining a world-class internal control environment, and providing strategic financial leadership across the entire global organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for all global accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions, with the added responsibility for the Procurement and Global Facilities departments.

Responsibilities

    I. Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting (Controllership)

  • Global Financial Reporting: Direct and manage the preparation of timely, accurate, and transparent consolidated global financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.

  • Technical Accounting Authority: Serve as the final authority on the interpretation, adoption, and consistent application of complex technical accounting policies across all international entities.

  • Close Process: Lead the efficient and rigorous execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

  • SEC/External Reporting: Oversee the preparation and filing of all external financial reports, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), if applicable.

  • II. Compliance and Internal Controls

  • Internal Control Environment: Design, implement, and maintain a robust global framework of internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data integrity, with a focus on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

  • Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for external auditors, internal audit, and regulatory bodies, managing all global audit activities.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks related to accounting, treasury, and foreign exchange.

  • III. Global Procurement and Sourcing

  • Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the Global Procurement function.

  • Cost Management: Drive company-wide initiatives to optimize supplier relationships, negotiate major contracts, and achieve significant, measurable reductions in direct and indirect procurement costs.

  • Policy & Governance: Establish and enforce global procurement policies, controls, and supplier due diligence standards to ensure ethical and compliant sourcing across all jurisdictions.

  • IV. Global Facilities and Real Estate Management

  • Facilities Strategy: Own the strategic planning, management, and optimization of the company’s global real estate portfolio and facilities operations.

  • Workplace Efficiency: Oversee capital expenditure budgeting, space planning, and facilities services to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment that supports business growth.

  • Lease Accounting: Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper lease classification and accounting treatment under ASC 842 or IFRS 16.

  • V. Executive Leadership and Team Development

  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the CFO, CEO, and other executive leaders to provide financial insights that guide strategic business decisions and drive global growth.

  • Talent Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of Controllership, Accounting, Procurement, and Facilities professionals.

  • Process Transformation: Champion finance transformation initiatives, including the selection, implementation, and optimization of global ERP and accounting systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or Master's in Accounting is highly preferred.

  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role (VP/SVP/CAO) overseeing global accounting operations for a multinational company.

  • Multi-Disciplinary Experience: Demonstrated experience leading or having significant oversight of Procurement/Sourcing and/or Global Facilities/Real Estate.

  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting, and designing/managing SOX-compliant control environments.

  • Leadership: Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and proven ability to lead and develop large, geographically dispersed teams.

234000 - 350000 USD a year

As a full-time Global Controller, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $234,000 to $350,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
