Klaviyo is looking for a Senior Director of Product Analytics and Operations who will lead key functions that support the entire Klaviyo Product organization’s ability to understand how well we are improving customer value. This role reports to the VP, Product and requires using a mix of skills including deep analytical skills, hypothesis driven thinking and cross-functional collaboration. Please note that this role is located in Boston and does require an onsite component. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time.

This role will build and lead multiple teams within the product organization:

  • Product Analytics ensures that we can measure our progress against our customer impact goals so that we can make data-driven decisions that drive customer value. This includes ensuring that we have the correct tooling, conducting the analysis, and building out dashboards.
  • Product Operations ensures that Product can collaborate effectively with engineering and design and understand our progress against our deliverable timelines. This includes managing any tooling required, including relevant processes.
  • Research Coordination ensures that PMs can connect with customers for customer research so that we are building products that meet our customers’ needs. This includes ensuring that we can recruit customers at scale.

How You will Make a Difference:

Partner with stakeholders throughout the R&D organization to guide our product analytics strategy and scope, shape and prioritize projects, and foster cross-team collaboration.

  • Use strong people leadership skills and product mindset to ensure your teams are successful in delivering a wide variety of insights and recommendations.
  • Be a strong advocate for the power of data and research to identify limitless opportunities for growth for our products and customers.
  • Drive long term growth of products through a combination of data analysis, product ideation, and experimentation to optimize product experiences.
  • Understand trends in user behavior and product usage to influence growth strategy.
  • Help the organization identify opportunities to drive growth and prioritize them to maximize long-term growth.
  • Partner closely with engineering. design, and other members of the product team to land impact on product goals.
  • Build credibility through structure and clarity, and acting as a trusted strategic partner.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise using SQL to extract, clean, and transform data in large, complex, nested databases.
  • Expert in performing detailed statistical analysis, modeling techniques and results interpretation.
  • Knowledgeable in hypothesis testing and different approaches to experimentation.
  • Proficient in common dashboard tools (Tableau, Thoughtspot, Heap) to drive self-serve insights.

Experience:

  • 12+ years experience leading product analytics; with at least 5 years leading a product analytics team.
  • Autonomously managed a 20+ person organization, including talent development, goal-setting and headcount planning.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with diverse business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading similar functions. In other words, you know what good looks like in research and analytics because you’ve seen the pattern or the anti-pattern.
  • Worked on a SaaS product or company.
  • Worked in an analytical and technical role.
  • Defined success metrics for product features and teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Compelling and persuasive oral and written storytelling ability.

The starting pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. Starting Pay Range For All US Locations:
$240,000$360,000 USD
