Our Site Reliability and Platform Engineering team combines the Software Engineering & Systems Engineering to build scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The team keeps a watchful eye on the System Performance, Capacity and Failure modes to ensure high availability, and ability to grow.
What you’ll do:
- Set the technical direction for your team and work with multifunctional partners to deliver on your work
- Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps, making effective tradeoffs between business impact, user experience, and a high-quality technical foundation
- Managing cloud infrastructure and deployment automation
- Supporting production systems to guarantee uptime and reliability
- Overseeing vulnerability management and facilitating remediation
- Maintaining build and CI/CD infrastructure
- Implementing developer productivity tools
- Improving release management through improvements to process and tooling
About you:
- Extensive Industry Experience: 7+ years of demonstrated experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Software Engineering (SWE), or Production Engineering roles. Ability to set technical and cultural standards for engineers
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent.
- SaaS Production Systems: Proven experience managing and sustaining SaaS production environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Cloud Providers: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers like AWS and Azure.
- Containerization: Proficiency with containerization tools such as Docker.
- Container Orchestration: Strong expertise with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.
- Release Management: Experience in overseeing and managing software release processes to ensure smooth and reliable delivery.
- Engineering Mindset: Apply a systematic, engineering-oriented approach to solving platform and production issues. Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for automation.
For US-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $191,000 to $255,000 + bonus, equity, and US benefits. The actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience/skills, and level of impact the individual is expected to make at Instabase.
