Senior Quality Engineer - Systems Integration & Standardization
Infleqtion
Quality Assurance
Louisville, CO, USA
We are seeking a senior level, hands-on Quality Engineer to operate at the intersection of two key business units, driving integration, standardization, and execution across quality systems and processes.
This role will collaborate deeply with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external software service providers to align product and quality data, establish scalable systems, and build foundational programs from the ground up.
This is not a purely administrative or high-level role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable editing and updating BOMs, defining configuration rules, working directly in PLM/QMS systems, and leading cross team alignment to get real outcomes delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Cross Business Unit Integration
- Act as the primary quality interface between business units to standardize processes, data structures, and system usage
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and redundancies between teams and drive standardization efforts
- Facilitate working sessions to harmonize quality practices, documentation, and system workflows
Product Structure & Configuration Management
- Own and maintain the processes that control Bills of Material (BOMs), part numbers, and revision levels across integrated product lines
- Apply configuration management best practices to ensure traceability, change control, and data accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure quality impacts are properly assessed and implemented
PLM / QMS Systems Execution
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert for Arena PLM and QMS modules (or similar tools)
- Interface directly with software service providers to:
- Kick off and configure Nonconformance/CAPA modules
- Define workflows and data relationships aligned to business needs
- Translate business requirements into actionable system configurations (not just slideware)
Program Development & Ownership
- Design and implement foundational quality programs such as:
- Calibration programs (from initial inventory through recurring execution)
- Inspection, supplier quality, or non‑conformance workflows
- Develop procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support program rollout
- Ensure programs are scalable, auditable, and usable by frontline teams, ranging from prototypes to full-scale productions.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve quality and data issues and disconnects.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions where system or configuration issues are involved.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data integrity, and cross team alignment
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field
- 8+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Systems roles
- Direct experience with low-volume/high mix manufacturing environments with demanding customer requirements (e.g. Aerospace/defense or similar)
- Demonstrated experience with:
- BOM maintenance and product structure management
- Configuration management and change control
- PLM/QMS tools (Arena strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to execute detailed work independently while collaborating across teams.
- Hands‑on experience configuring, launching and sustaining:
- Non‑conformance / CAPA modules
- Calibration or metrology programs
- Traceability standards/best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven environments (ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, etc.)
- Experience supporting product integration following mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructuring
- Comfortable operating in environments with state-of-the-art processes and evolving requirements.
- Experience working directly with external vendors or software providers
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Quality and product data are consistent, traceable, and usable across both business units.
- Systems such as Arena PLM are actively used, not just technically implemented
- Calibration, nonconformance, and change workflows function end-to-end with minimal friction.
- Teams trust the systems and processes because they were built with practicality in mind
- Prototype lifecycle items are fast to process, whereas production lifecycle items contain detailed
Why This Role Is Different
This position is designed for someone who likes to build, fix, and execute—not delegate from a distance. You’ll have visibility, influence, and real ownership, without being buried under a purely strategic or overly titled role that prevents progress.
