Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.

More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often, it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.

We’re a high-growth fintech company changing the retirement industry. We are backed by a number of investors. This includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.

About the role

As the Email Marketing Manager at Human Interest, you will be a key driver of our email marketing programs, blending operational excellence with an evolving role in strategy and content. You will own the execution, workflow automation, and HubSpot infrastructure while having the opportunity to take on more copywriting and campaign strategy. You’ll partner closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager to bring campaigns to life, from the initial build and QA to scheduling and reporting. You’re the last line of defense before launch, ensuring campaigns are accurate, compliant, and aligned with our goals. You should be meticulous with great attention to detail (no typos or grammatical errors on this team).

This role also serves as the go-to resource for marketing communications across teams - including Product Marketing, Customer Success, and others, managing the intake process and ensuring requests are scoped, prioritized and executed flawlessly. Given our rapid pace(i.e., 24,791 mph), you’ll need to be comfortable working quickly, shifting priorities on the fly, and adapting to constant change, while consistently delivering successful, high-quality outcomes.

What you get to do every day

  • Write and improve email communications
    • Own the copywriting and editing for various email sends, from ad-hoc communications to operational updates.
    • Actively contributing to campaign content by suggesting and implementing improvements to subject lines, CTAs, and overall email structure.
    • Serving as a core contributor to the email content pipeline, ensuring every message is clear, compelling, and aligned with brand voice.
  • Manage and optimize HubSpot infrastructure
    • Serve as HubSpot admin, owning platform hygiene, contact management, and integrations.
    • Build and optimize workflows for nurture, event follow-ups, and audience automations.
    • Monitor and manage contact limits, suppression rules, and data cleanliness.
  • Own cross-functional COMMs process
    • Lead the marketing COMMs intake process - prioritizing and managing requests from internal teams.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comms are accurate, aligned, and timely.
    • Serve as the operational point of contact for cross-functional campaign support (Product Marketing launches, CS outreach).
  • Establish operational excellence
    • Build and maintain standardized QA and campaign launch checklists.
    • Set up internal alerts and reporting mechanisms (e.g., contact thresholds, send failures, performance drops).
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce manual work.
  • Support reporting and performance tracking
    • Build dashboard and reports in Hubspot to monitor campaign performance.
    • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing and RevOps on analysis optimization.
    • Surface insights and recommend changes based on performance trends.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated industry or highly sensitive environment (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or fintech)

What you bring to the role

  • 4-6 years of experience in email marketing, marketing operations, or lifecycle automation, preferably in a SaaS or B2B environment.
  • Deep expertise with Hubspot, including workflows, segmentation, admin tools, and reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong editing eye, with the proven ability to write, edit, and QA marketing emails.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM), and marketing contact management.
  • Analytical skills with experience building dashboards and making data-informed optimization decisions.
  • Excellent communicator and project manager, able to juggle multiple priorities and communicate clearly across teams.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Outreach, Salesforce, Amplitude, or similar sales/analytics platforms.
  • Background supporting webinar or event marketing operations a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
