As the Senior Brand Manager of Grove Co., you will report to the Brand Director, Retail, and be a key senior member of the Grove Co growth team. You’ll help set the business strategy and work directly with a broad cross-functional team including sales, marketing, creative and operations to drive the business and help us build the future of a brand that is striving to change the Homecare category for the better.
We have an exciting packaging rebrand, a refreshed fragrance strategy, ambitious sustainability goals and a jam-packed pipeline to deliver. As our team moves from an innovation-only focus to a more of a general management structure we don’t want someone who can just launch new products, we want someone who wants to be a total business owner - building consumer change through profitable retail expansion & velocity lifts.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Develop business goals, strategies, tactics and roadmap to set and deliver the annual business operating plan for Grove Co. This includes driving P&L growth by identifying and initiating key programs to deliver top line growth & margin improvement across the portfolio of hand, dish, cleaning, laundry, paper, tools, personal care. Sustainability is very important to Grove and us, so we never lose sight of that.
  • Develop, lead and launch new product initiatives for the business unit, using strong project and timeline management skills, working across internal teams, external partners and key leadership stakeholders. This includes collaborating with sales, attending customer meetings, and working with market & consumer research. It also includes initiating and collaborating with external partners - other brands, agencies, fragrance houses, suppliers, vendors, etc, and so representing Grove Collaborative with a senior, professional calm is important.
  • Analyze and organize data from multiple sources (category/brand performance and activity, syndicated data, POS, market research, retail-specific data) in a clear, concise and actionable format – going beyond the “what” to the “so what” to translate it into actionable business recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and interact with senior level management across functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of brand management experience in consumer product categories; specific knowledge of Target/Walmart will be an advantage
  • Experience with DTC and Amazon channel a plus
  • Experience in retail-specific new product development and business development
  • Expertise in data-driven brand management
  • Experience with managing people, leading teams and contributing to culture is essential
  • Creative and proactive with strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to jump in and get sh!t done
