Role overview:
We’re looking for a motivated and problem-solving individual to join our talented and impactful finance team. The Bookkeeper position offers a great opportunity to gain experience and make an impact within the finance department of our Rocketship. The position will report to the company’s Financial Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations for domestic and international entities.
- Own vendor accounting, reporting, and payment processes.
- Ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions in line with company policies and international accounting standards.
- Record pre-paid expenses, accruals, and amortizations accurately.
- Maintain bank ledgers and perform reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Play an essential role in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid schedules.
- Monitor, review, and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, Ma’am, 856).
- Prepare and present the weekly Cash Burn report, providing actionable insights to management.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls while streamlining processes and implementing automation where possible.
- Partner with the finance team to improve systems, drive efficiency, and implement best practices.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Certified Bookkeeper (Level 3) with at least 5 years of experience managing full sets of accounts, including subsidiary ledgers.
- Detail-oriented mindset – able to dive deep, identify gaps, and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong ownership – you take accountability and deliver with precision.
- Service orientation – excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal, English), with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proven experience with NetSuite ERP (minimum 3 years) – required
- Background in the high-tech industry
- Certified Bookkeeper Diploma
- Familiarity with payroll processes
- Experience with AI-driven finance tools for automation, forecasting, and anomaly detection - advantage.
- Experience working with automation tools such as DOKKA and Mesh – advantage
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, ability to learn new software quickly
- High proficiency in English
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlines
