Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
The Senior Solutions Engineer – plays a mission-critical role in helping our prospects and customers adopt, scale, and derive value from DataRobot’s Agentic AI, Predictive and Generative AI solutions. This role partners with the Regional Director and Account Executives to deliver compelling demonstrations, articulate the technical and business value impact of DataRobot solutions, and guide enterprise organisations through solution design, proofs of value and production readiness.
The Senior Solutions Engineer ensures DataRobot solutions align with outcomes, compliance requirements, and security standards. This individual bridges the gap between business objectives and technical implementations—enabling prospects and customers to unlock the power of AI responsibly and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Business-to-Technical Translation: Partner with sales teams to understand business needs, strategic priorities, and technical constraints; map those to DataRobot capabilities, with tailored messaging for different personas (CIO, CTO, Chief Data Officer, program leads, technical practitioners).
Demo Execution and Use Case Framing: Deliver engaging, outcome-oriented demos for both new prospects and existing customers; help shape and refine use cases based on maturity, need, and strategic alignment.
Solution Design & Deployment Readiness: Define key technical requirements, recommend deployment models that meet specific security mandates, and advise on data readiness to ensure quick time-to-value for new and expansion opportunities.
Compliance & Security Alignment: Support conversations around AI governance, data security, model transparency, and responsible AI practices in alignment with regulations and standards.
Cross-Functional Feedback Loop: Provide structured feedback on specific needs, procurement hurdles, and technical blockers to Product, Marketing, and Enablement teams—ensuring DataRobot’s offerings remain relevant in the market.
Sales Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor across the sales team by supporting Regional Director and Account Executives with the technical knowledge and assets that advance AI adoption.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated success supporting sales pursuits (new logos and account expansion) with technical expertise and solution design.
Design and build MVP agentic AI applications: Often within days, that demonstrate how AI agents can transform real business processes for prospects
Hands-on experience building and deploying agentic AI applications using modern LLM frameworks and orchestration patterns (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, MCP, or equivalent)
Lead end-to-end Proof of Value engagements: execute the POV, measure outcomes, and translate results into compelling business cases
Define key technical requirements that address enterprise integration, security, governance, and compliance needs across diverse APAC environments
Understanding of enterprise data infrastructure: NVIDIA and on-premise environments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks), and API/system integration patterns
Excellent communication and demo skills; proven ability to present complex AI concepts in a clear, value-driven manner to both senior executives (CIO, CDO, CTO) and technical deep-dives with data scientists and architects
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving product offerings and shifting priorities.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in customer-facing data science, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting within software/SaaS.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, or business-related field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree in a technical or analytical-related field a plus
Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics sales.
Ability to travel up to 25% in average to customer meetings, workshops, industry conferences, and events.
