We are looking for a Principal Solutions Engineer with a proven track record of implementing presales best practices, value selling, and leading and maturing sales cycles by example.

Are you a subject matter expert in the Risk and Threat Intelligence Industry? Do you also have knowledge about the value of publicly available data?

In this role you will share your product, industry and technical expertise through presentations, demonstrations, and technical evaluations. You will work with clients to understand their requirements and pain points, then design and prove the right solution for their business needs. You will also work with our Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams to share your knowledge and information from the field.

This US-based role is work from home and fully remote, ideally based in PST or MST.

The Opportunity

  • Leverage your prior experience with public data, and real-world events to explain, and prove the business impact of the Dataminr solution, its value to our customers and prospects with presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Value engagements.

  • Help utilize your security knowledge together with physical risks in an evolving and emerging cyber-physical market

  • Use your previous Solutions Engineering experience to mature Dataminr’s Go to Market team by developing and delivering training materials, videos, whitepapers for internal and external customers

  • Build technical credibility with technical champions within our existing customer base and with new prospects at all levels of an organization

  • Developing best practices and mentoring for GTM team members around maturing sales processes, deal progression, sales stage execution

  • Work with all areas within the organization at Dataminr to ensure our customers and prospects are being heard and understood so Dataminr can mature, develop and grow

What you Bring

  • 5+ years as a Sr. Solutions Engineer/Architect(preferred), with experience leading projects and/or working with customer organizations.

  • Hands on experience with the Dataminr solution (preferred) or direct competitor

  • Familiarity with SaaS tools (OSINT preferred), and relevant industry knowledge

  • Familiarity with tools securing physical assets and Risk Management Platforms

  • Familiarity with the value of big data analytics both public and private

  • API experience is valued along with working knowledge of ITSM solutions and platform integrations

  • Experience in Enterprise or Cloud Security, including cloud/SaaS platforms, data/information protection, network, endpoint, NOC/SOC, or MSP-related cybersecurity.

  • CISSP or other relevant cyber-security and/or cloud security certifications are valued.

Colorado, New York, California, Washington only: The salary range for this position is as indicated below. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience, among other factors.

Colorado: $135,000 - $144,000

New York/California/Washington: $150,000 - $160,000
