About the Role:
BigPanda’s sales engineering team provides world-class presales support for BigPanda's enterprise sales team. They work in tight cooperation with their sales partners to drive business opportunities and ensure their customers as successfully receiving value from our solutions. To be a successful sales engineer at BigPanda, you need to have previous experience as a sales or customer facing engineer or be an end-user of related enterprise monitoring and IT operations technologies. You should be able to articulate BigPanda’s business value tied to customers’ objectives, map technology and product capabilities to those objectives and position effectively at the executive, business and technical levels. Ideally, you are ambitious and self-motivated.
What you will do:
  • Lead prospective customers to successful outcomes with the BigPanda platform.
  • Deliver compelling product demos using customer stories to showcase value.
  • Manage end-to-end proof-of-value projects to demonstrate solution effectiveness.
  • Evangelize the solution at conferences, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Stay current on BigPanda solutions, industry trends, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities and define sales motions.
  • Work closely with internal teams like product management, engineering, and marketing.
  • Demonstrate passion for sales engineering and customer engagement
What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:
  • Fluency in both German and English is required for this position
  • 3-5 years of experience with enterprise monitoring and event management solutions.
  • 1-2 years in a sales engineering role at a SaaS or software vendor, with a proven track record (start-up experience a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing business objectives and customer success.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Datadog, Splunk) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience integrating ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira) with monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) and complex web architectures.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting Linux/Windows server, network, and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience in live demos and technical deep-dives.
