About the Role:
The Incident Intelligence group powers BigPanda’s core event processing, enrichment, and correlation capabilities, managing millions of daily events across a high-throughput, robust cloud infrastructure.
Our team serves as the gateway to the pipeline, normalizing and enriching alerts from diverse sources to deliver deeper insights and enable smarter responses to complex events. As a Backend Engineer, you will take on challenging problems, design and implement robust, scalable features, and diagnose complex system issues. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including Node.js, AWS services, and more.
What you will do:
- Design and develop complex services, integrate with design systems, implementation, testing, monitoring, and demos.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology to solve complex software system problems.
- Enhance development productivity by identifying the areas for modification and innovation.
- Maintain a high standard of coding and introduce engineering best practices.
What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience in designing and building large-scale distributed cloud-based system.
- Proven experience in delivering key features from ideation to production.
- Ability to deep dive into complex systems and troubleshoot challenging issues effectively.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud-based technologies, and microservices.
- Strong skills in communicating complex ideas and clearly explaining technical concepts and solutions.

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $130,000 - $178,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location
