About the Role:

As part of being an enterprise-grade product, BigPanda is focusing on maintaining high-quality awareness, standards, and customer-focused culture.

We're looking for a Director of Quality to lead the engineering organization in its journey to achieve higher quality standards. You’ll be part of the Engineering organization leadership team and the company’s senior leadership forum.

You’ll be leading a team of automation professionals responsible for developing system-level automation to ensure quality and performance and work with the engineering teams on enhancing their quality controls

What you will do:

You will be developing Bigpanda’s quality culture by establishing and promoting culture throughout the organization, defining and implementing quality assurance strategies, policies, and best practices and fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to improve overall product quality.

You will also be the one to build and execute a comprehensive automation strategy to drive efficiency and effectiveness in testing processes and enforce quality controls throughout the SDLC and CI/CD processes to ensure a quality feature release developing and executing.

You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools and collaborate with cross-functional development teams to integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle.

One of the biggest missions will be to create quality assurance governance, introducing high standards, methodologies, and metrics. This will require establishing robust QA governance processes to ensure compliance with product requirements, scale and performance requirements, and security constraints as well as driving continuous process enhancements throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

To meet all of these goals and align QA initiatives with business goals, you will also be partnering with product management, development, and customer success teams and collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic insights and recommendations on quality-related matters.

What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• Proven experience as a senior QA leader at the VP or Director level, reporting to a VP R&D
• Experience working on a SaaS product
• Experience with continuous delivery methodologies
• Strong expertise in developing and implementing quality assurance strategies and practices
• Proven experience in managing Automation teams
• Proficient in test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JMeter, etc)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to communicate effectively, to build relationships, and to manage stakeholder expectations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
