Our team is dedicated to cultivating personal and professional development by creating a culture of feedback, transparency, innovation, passion, learning, and winning. Our business is dependent on happy partners who understand and participate in the Apartment List vision. We are seeking a tenacious team member to join the sales team who loves evangelizing a disruptive, new real estate marketplace advertising opportunity and wants to be part of a growing, evolving team.
As a Solutions Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role as part of an overlay sales team, working closely with our core sales organization to accelerate growth across our innovative product suite. Your primary focus will be to identify, pitch, close, and expand strategic partnerships with eligible clients, leveraging our generative AI-powered solution, AList Nurture, as well as emerging offerings from Apartment List.
In this role, you’ll act as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor, helping our partners unlock value through advanced technology and data-driven engagement strategies. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to drive adoption and ensure long-term partner success.
*** This is a REMOTE position with the expectation of as-needed in-person travel across the US.
Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:

  • Maximize Partner Retention: You will identify partner challenges and pain points and partner with cross-functional team members (Product, Analytics, Data Operations) to provide solutions. You will act as the internal voice for product feedback, positioning and roadmap
  • AI Expert: You will act as an expert on AI application in the multifamily industry within GTM and the broader organization
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the sales team to support discovery, solution presentation, and closing of AList Nurture deals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to tailor product recommendations based on client goals and performance data.
  • Act as a technical liaison during pre-sales and post-sales phases, translating complex product capabilities into business value.
  • Troubleshoot campaign or integration issues in partnership with the technical support team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and strategic check-ins with clients, identifying opportunities for optimization and expansion.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and industry trends to inform recommendations and sales strategy.
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:
  • 5+ years in account management or sales, experience in Solution Sales, Sales Engineering, or overlay roles preferred.
  • Background in technical selling or support (e.g. Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant), with full ownership of product demos and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Strong communicator with proven ability to influence stakeholders and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with SaaS, CRM, PMS, AI, or lead management systems is highly preferred.
  • Data-driven, with an analytical mindset and comfort interpreting product or campaign performance metrics.
  • Collaborative and strategic, with experience partnering across teams to shape sales processes and product direction.
  • Thrive in high-growth or startup environments.

We carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work.
