What we're looking for
**For this role we are exclusively looking for a candidate in the Eastern timezone to facilitate collaboration with colleagues working in Israel.**
We are seeking an experienced analyst to join our Product Analytics team at Apartment List, to be focused on our AI products, A-List Nurture and Lea Lite. The Product Analytics team collaborates with partners across the company to solve our most difficult analytical problems. This is a high-impact role critical to driving our supply growth and renter engagement.
At Apartment List, we have a lot of data to sift through, search for hidden insights and their business implications. You will be diving in to deeply understand the usability and drive the strategy of our A-List Nurture and Lea Lite products. You will collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, Design, and Business Strategy counterparts to make effective, analytically driven decisions. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical problem solving skills, can make sense of ambiguity in data, and is a proven communicator and partner with cross functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Drive business strategy by translating data insights into actionable recommendations to improve the renter & partner journey on our platform
- Define, operationalize, and monitor key metrics for your business area including partnering with product and engineering to implement eventing and scaleable data structure
- Identify new opportunities that can direct our product roadmap quarter over quarter
- Develop deep subject matter expertise on the AI products of our marketplace
- Contribute to company data culture through scaleable insights and cultivation of data literacy in partner teams
- Break down ambiguous problems and apply a first principles approach to solving them
Skills and experience you'll need to be successful:
- 7+ years of experience in similar data analytics/scientist roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
- Strong verbal and presentation communication skills; be able to build the narrative around what you see surfacing in the data
- Deep technical expertise through expert-level SQL and ability to navigate complex data sets
- Experience designing and assessing the results of A/B tests
- Experience building out reporting in data visualization tool (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Must be working from the EST time zone to facilitate collaboration with cross functional partners

- Programming language (R or Python)
- Experience with dbt or similar tooling
- Experience in a marketplace business
Here's the Pay Range:
At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work. The US base salary range for this position is:
- Zone 1: $145,000 - $176,000 TTC + equity
- Zone 2: $134,000 - $163,000 TTC + equity
- Zone 3: $123,000 - $149,000 TTC + equity
This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
