Machine Learning Engineer

As the Machine Learning Engineer at 1stDibs, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative machine learning models to solve complex problems and optimize various aspects of our business. Working closely with members of our Product and Engineering teams, you will collaborate to translate business requirements from key stakeholders into practical and scalable machine-learning solutions aligned with our product roadmap.
This position is based in NYC but has the potential to not require an in office presence if you reside in one of the following states: MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD, FLA, IL, TX, AZ, CO or CA.
What You Will Do
Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve use cases such as personalization of items, prediction of prices, generation of product descriptions, and similarity across products images and descriptions
Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model selection and tuning to improve the performance and accuracy of machine learning models
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence research and apply them to our solutions
Collaborate closely with stakeholders from Product and Engineering to design and build innovative solutions to drive the growth of 1stDibs
Document the design, development, and evaluation processes of machine learning models and algorithms for internal and external stakeholders.
Who You Are
You have Solid Engineering and Computer Science fundamentals, ideally with a degree in Computer Science with a specialization in AI or equivalent experience
You have 3+ years of professional experience as a software developer/engineer with a strong focus on machine learning
You are proficient in Python programming language and PyTorch library, and with using cloud GPUs
You have experience in architecting, developing, and deploying Machine Learning frameworks in a production environment
